Specify a packaged sewage system

A practical guide for defining the information and interfaces needed for an equipment discussion.

Use this guide to prepare a project discussion with XIANG LV HUANBAO. Final equipment selection and commitments require project-specific technical review.

01

Start with the design flow

Provide the average and peak sewage flow with units, daily operating hours and seasonal changes. Population or occupancy can help explain the project, but it does not replace an agreed design flow.

02

Define the sewage and the target

Provide representative water analysis and identify the destination of treated water: sewer connection, discharge or a stated reuse duty. The applicable limits and acceptance method need to be agreed for that project.

03

Match the process to the project

A/O, A²/O, MBBR and MBR are among the company’s common processes. The listed XLDS model configuration uses A²/O, MBR and UV disinfection; it should not be assumed for every domestic sewage system.

04

Review the physical interfaces

Confirm available space, elevation, groundwater, foundations, incoming power, ventilation, maintenance access and sludge removal. State whether above-ground or buried installation is required.

05

Write a clear supply boundary

Ask which items are included: tank, blowers, pumps, mixers, controls, documentation, installation support and operator training. Confirm site work, freight and service costs separately.
